2009-ஆம் ஆண்டையும் மே மாதத்தையும் குருதி படிந்த ஆண்டும் மாதமும் என்று வரலாறு பதிவு செய்யும். 80,000 ஈழத் தமிழர்கள் படுகொலை செய்யப் பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆயிரக்கணக்கான மக்கள் உறுப்பிழந்து ஊனப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். மூன்று இலட்சம் பேர் வாழ்விழந்து வசிப்பிடம் இழந்து முள் வேலிகளுக்குள் ஏதிலியாக இன்னல்படுகிறார்கள். இந்தக் கூக்குரல் இன்னும் ஓயவில்லை. காயங்கள் இன்னும் ஆறவில்லை. இலங்கை சென்ற தி.மு.க., காங்கிரஸ் கூட்டணி நாடாளுமன்றக் குழுவினரிடம், யாழ்ப்பாணப் பல்கலைக் கழக மாணவர்கள் இப்படித் தெரிவித்தனர்.
“உங்களிடத்தில் எங்களின் எல்லாவற்றையும் இப்படியான முற்றுகைத் தருணத்தில் பேசிவிட முடியாது.... தடுத்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள மக்களை உடனடியாகச் சொந்த இடங்களில் குடியமர்த்தி, சிதைந்த தேசத்தை அபிருவிருத்தி செய்து, இழந்த வாழ்வைக் கட்டி எழுப்ப நடவடிக்கை எடுங்கள். நிரந்தரமான உரிமையற்ற அகதிகளாக அலைந்து கொண்டிருக்கிற எமது மக்கள் நிரந்தரமான வாழ்வுரிமையைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ள நடவடிக்கை எடுங்கள்.” கனிமொழி, டி.ஆர்.பாலு மற்றும் இராஜபக்சேவை
ஈழத் தமிழர்கள் வேண்டுவதும் உலகத்தமிழர் எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பதும் மீள்குடியமர்வும் வாழ்வுரிமையுந்தான். ஆரவாரமான மாநாடுகள் அல்ல.
தமிழக முதல்வர் கலைஞர் ஒரு மாநாட்டு அவசரத்தில் இருக்கிறார். அந்த அவசரத்தில்தான் உலகத்தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாட்டை எப்படி நடத்த வேண்டும் என்கிற முறைமையைப் புறந்தள்ளி, ஒரு கட்சி மாநாட்டை நடத்துவது போல் அறிவிப்புச் செய்தார். ஆனால் உலகத் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனத்தின் தலைவர் நொபாரு கராஷிமா, தமிழக முதல்வரின் அவசரங்களுக்குப் பணிந்துவிடாமல், தம் நிறுவனத்தின் தற்சார்பு நிலையை பேணும் வகையில், இதற்கு ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கவில்லை. ஜப்பானியரான நொபாரு கராஷிமா ஆய்வுப் புலம் முற்றிய அறிஞராகையால், ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாட்டுக்குரிய கால அளவை மனத்திற்கொண்டு ஒப்புதல் அளிக்காமல் இருந்திருக்கலாம்.
அண்ணா முதலமைச்சராக இருந்தபோது, சென்னையில் நடைபெற்ற இரண்டாவது உலகத் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாட்டை ஒட்டிப் பேராசிரியர் நா.வானமாமலை உலகத்தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாடு எவ்வாறெல்லாம் நடைபெற வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கிலான கருத்துக்களை முன்வைத்து ஓர் ஆய்வறிக்கையை வெளியிட்டுள்ளார். 'இரண்டாவது உலகத்தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாடு-இலக்கிய உலகம் எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பது என்ன? - தமிழ்நாடு கலை இலக்கியப் பெருமன்றம் வெளியீடு, டிசம்பர் 1967'. அதில் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டிருந்த ஒரு கருத்தைத் தமிழகத்தின் ஆட்சியாளர் யாரும் கணக்கில் எடுத்துக் கொள்ளவில்லை.
இதுபொதுமாநாடு அல்ல, கருத்தரங்க மாநாடு என்பதையும், இதில் தரமான ஆராய்ச்சிக் கட்டுரைகளைப் பெற்று அவற்றை எழுதியவர்களையே மாநாட்டு உறுப்பினர்களாக அழைத்தல் வேண்டும் என்பதையும் மாநாட்டு அமைப்பாளர்கள் கவனத்தில் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். இங்கு நா.வா. மாநாட்டு அமைப்பாளர்கள் என்று குறிப்பிடுவது அன்றைய தமிழகத்தின் ஆட்சியாளர்களை அன்று; இன்று உலகத்தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சிக்கழகம் என்ற பெயரில் இயங்கும் இந்த அமைப்பு 1966-ல் சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சிக் கழகம் என்ற பெயரில்தான் இயங்கியது. இதன் தலைவராகப் பேராசிரியர் போலியசோவும், துணைத் தலைவர்களாக தாமஸ் பர்கே, எப்.பி.ஜே.கூப்பர், பேராசிரியர். தெ.பொ.மீனாட்சி சுந்தரனார், பேராசிரியர் மு. வரதராசனார் ஆகியோரும், செயலாளர்களாக கமில்சுவலபிலும், சேவியர் தனிநாயக அடிகளாரும் இருந்தனர். மேற்கண்ட அமைப்பாளர்கள் யாவரும் ஆராய்ச்சி நோக்கத்தின் அடிப்படையிலேயே மாநாடுகள் நடத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என்ற தெளிவில் இருந்துள்ளார்கள்.
எனினும் தமிழகத்தில் அண்ணா காலத்தில் நிகழ்ந்த இரண்டாவது உலகத் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாடு முதற்கொண்டு எம்.ஜி.ஆர் ஆட்சியில் 1981-ல் மதுரையில் நடந்த ஐந்தாம் உலகத் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாடும் கலந்துகொள்ள வந்த ஈழத் தமிழறிஞர்களைத் தடுத்து நிறுத்தி, அம்மையார் ஜெயலலிதா 1995-ல் நடத்திய ஏழாம் உலகத் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாடும், ஆராய்ச்சி என்ற சொல்லை ஒப்புக்கு வைத்துக்கொண்டு ஆர்ப்பாட்டமான மாநாடுகளையே நடத்தி முடித்தன.
இன்று முதல்வர் கருணாநிதியும், தம் பங்குக்கு ஓர் உலகத் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாட்டை நடத்த முயன்று, அது கைகூடாத நிலையில் உலகத்தமிழ்ச் செம்மொழி மாநாட்டைக் கோவையில் நடத்த அறிவிப்புச் செய்துள்ளார். இந்த அறிவிப்புகளில் அரசத் தலைவர் காட்டவேண்டிய பொறுப்பும் நிதானமும் இல்லை என்பதை முதலில் சுட்ட வேண்டும். ஒன்பதாம் உலகத்தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சி மாநாடு கைகூடவில்லையா போகட்டும். முதல் உலகத்தமிழ்ச் செம்மொழி மாநாட்டை நடத்துவோம் என்று முடிவு செய்வதில் தமிழ் ஆய்வு பற்றிய அக்கறையோ, செம்மொழி குறித்த நேர்மை உணர்வோ இல்லை; ஒரு மாநாட்டுக் கொண்டாட்டத்துக்கான ஆர்வந்தான் துருத்திக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. அந்தச் சட்டை பொருந்தவில்லையா, இந்தச் சட்டையை எடுத்துப்போடு என்று ஆயத்த ஆடைக் கடையில் நிற்கும் ஒரு வாடிக்கையாளனின் மனநிலைக்கும் கலைஞர் நிலைப்பாட்டிற்கும் பெரிய வேறுபாடில்லை. அண்ணா, எம்.ஜி.ஆர், ஜெயலலிதா இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் நடத்திய பிறகு நான் நடத்த வேண்டாமா என்று கருதுகிறார்.
இதற்கும் மேலாக ஈழத்தமிழர் பிரச்சனையில் உலக அளவில் சரிந்துவிட்ட தனது செல்வாக்கை மீண்டும் உயர்த்த இப்படி ஒரு மாநாடு என்ற ஓர் அரசியல் உள்நோக்கம் இருக்கிறது. சரிந்த செல்வாக்கை மீள உயர்த்துதல் என்பதுடன் இன்னும் ஆழமான காரணங்கள் உள்ளன.
முதல்வர் கலைஞர் ஒரு எழுத்தாளர், பேச்சாளர், கவிஞர், கலைஞர், அரசியல்வாதி என நீளும் தகுதிகளுக்கும் மேலாக இன்று இந்தியப் பெருமுதலாளிகளுள் ஒருவர் என்னும் தகுதியை அடிக்கோடிட்டுச் சொல்ல வேண்டும்.
தோன்றிய காலத்திலிருந்து கழகம் பேசி வந்த எந்த விழுமியத்தையும் விலைபேசும் தரகு நிறுவனமாக-இந்திய விரிவாக்க கனவின் விசுவாசமிக்க ஊழியனாக தி.மு.க.வை மாற்றியமைத்த வல்லமை கலைஞரையே சாரும்.
சிறிலங்கா தொடுத்த இனஒழிப்புப் போரில், சீனா, பாகிஸ்தான் போன்ற நாடுகளைப் போல் இந்தியா உதவியது என்று சொல்வதைவிட நேரடி நெறியாளனாய் நின்று நடத்தியது என்று சொல்வதே தகும். அவ்வாறு இந்தியா செய்ததும் சொந்த நலன்களைக் கணக்கில் கொண்டுதான். சிறிலங்காவைத் தனது பாதுகாப்புக் கருதி ஆதரிப்பதாக இந்தியா சொல்வது பொருந்தாத காரணமாகி நிற்கிறது. மாறாகச் சிங்கள அரசு தனது நாட்டின் வளங்களை இந்தியப் பெருநிறுவனங்களுக்குத் திறந்துவிட்டு, அவர்கள் மூலம் இந்திய அரசுக்கும் தமிழக அரசுக்கும் அழுத்தங்களை உருவாக்கித் தனக்கு ஆதரவான நிலை எடுக்க வைத்துள்ளது என்பதுதான் உண்மையாகும்.
இனவிடுதலைப் போராட்டத்தை அழிப்பதற்குச் செய்த பணிக்காக திருகோணமலை நிலத்தடி எண்ணெய்க் குதங்கள், அனல்மின் நிலைய ஒப்பந்தம், காங்கேசன் துறைமுகம், மன்னார் கடற்பரப்பு போன்றவை இலங்கை அரசால் தானமாக இந்தியாவுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன என்று ஈழ அரசியல் நோக்கர்கள் குறிப்பிடுகின்றனர்.
“இந்தியாவுக்கும் இலங்கைக்குமிடையேயான இத்ததைய பேரங்களில், கலைஞரின் பங்குபற்றி எதுவும் சொல்ல முடியாதுதான். எனினும் இந்திய அரசில் தன் குடும்பத்தினருக்கும், தன் நம்பிக்கைக்குரியவர்களுக்கும் சிங்களப் பங்குகளை அவர் பெற்றுவருகிறார் என்பதை, ஈழப் பிரச்சனைகளிலிருந்து பிரித்துப் பார்க்க முடியாது”.- ஈழநாடு, பாரீஸ் நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் குழுவுக்குத் தலைமையேற்று இலங்கை சென்று திரும்பிய டி.ஆர்.பாலு “இலங்கையும் தமிழகமும் தொழில் கண்காட்சி நடத்தி இருநாடுகளிடையே தொழில், வணிகம் பெருகிடவும், தமிழகம் இலங்கையில் முதலீடு செய்யவும் வழிவகை இதன்மூலம் ஏற்படும்” என்று கூறியிருப்பது இங்கு இணைத்துக் காணப்பட வேண்டும்.

ஈழத் தமிழர்கள் வேண்டுவதும் உலகத்தமிழர் எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பதும் மீள்குடியமர்வும் வாழ்வுரிமையுந்தான். ஆரவாரமான மாநாடுகள் அல்ல.

இதுபொதுமாநாடு அல்ல, கருத்தரங்க மாநாடு என்பதையும், இதில் தரமான ஆராய்ச்சிக் கட்டுரைகளைப் பெற்று அவற்றை எழுதியவர்களையே மாநாட்டு உறுப்பினர்களாக அழைத்தல் வேண்டும் என்பதையும் மாநாட்டு அமைப்பாளர்கள் கவனத்தில் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். இங்கு நா.வா. மாநாட்டு அமைப்பாளர்கள் என்று குறிப்பிடுவது அன்றைய தமிழகத்தின் ஆட்சியாளர்களை அன்று; இன்று உலகத்தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சிக்கழகம் என்ற பெயரில் இயங்கும் இந்த அமைப்பு 1966-ல் சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆராய்ச்சிக் கழகம் என்ற பெயரில்தான் இயங்கியது. இதன் தலைவராகப் பேராசிரியர் போலியசோவும், துணைத் தலைவர்களாக தாமஸ் பர்கே, எப்.பி.ஜே.கூப்பர், பேராசிரியர். தெ.பொ.மீனாட்சி சுந்தரனார், பேராசிரியர் மு. வரதராசனார் ஆகியோரும், செயலாளர்களாக கமில்சுவலபிலும், சேவியர் தனிநாயக அடிகளாரும் இருந்தனர். மேற்கண்ட அமைப்பாளர்கள் யாவரும் ஆராய்ச்சி நோக்கத்தின் அடிப்படையிலேயே மாநாடுகள் நடத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என்ற தெளிவில் இருந்துள்ளார்கள்.

இதற்கும் மேலாக ஈழத்தமிழர் பிரச்சனையில் உலக அளவில் சரிந்துவிட்ட தனது செல்வாக்கை மீண்டும் உயர்த்த இப்படி ஒரு மாநாடு என்ற ஓர் அரசியல் உள்நோக்கம் இருக்கிறது. சரிந்த செல்வாக்கை மீள உயர்த்துதல் என்பதுடன் இன்னும் ஆழமான காரணங்கள் உள்ளன.
முதல்வர் கலைஞர் ஒரு எழுத்தாளர், பேச்சாளர், கவிஞர், கலைஞர், அரசியல்வாதி என நீளும் தகுதிகளுக்கும் மேலாக இன்று இந்தியப் பெருமுதலாளிகளுள் ஒருவர் என்னும் தகுதியை அடிக்கோடிட்டுச் சொல்ல வேண்டும்.

இனவிடுதலைப் போராட்டத்தை அழிப்பதற்குச் செய்த பணிக்காக திருகோணமலை நிலத்தடி எண்ணெய்க் குதங்கள், அனல்மின் நிலைய ஒப்பந்தம், காங்கேசன் துறைமுகம், மன்னார் கடற்பரப்பு போன்றவை இலங்கை அரசால் தானமாக இந்தியாவுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன என்று ஈழ அரசியல் நோக்கர்கள் குறிப்பிடுகின்றனர்.
“இந்தியாவுக்கும் இலங்கைக்குமிடையேயான இத்ததைய பேரங்களில், கலைஞரின் பங்குபற்றி எதுவும் சொல்ல முடியாதுதான். எனினும் இந்திய அரசில் தன் குடும்பத்தினருக்கும், தன் நம்பிக்கைக்குரியவர்களுக்கும் சிங்களப் பங்குகளை அவர் பெற்றுவருகிறார் என்பதை, ஈழப் பிரச்சனைகளிலிருந்து பிரித்துப் பார்க்க முடியாது”.- ஈழநாடு, பாரீஸ் நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் குழுவுக்குத் தலைமையேற்று இலங்கை சென்று திரும்பிய டி.ஆர்.பாலு “இலங்கையும் தமிழகமும் தொழில் கண்காட்சி நடத்தி இருநாடுகளிடையே தொழில், வணிகம் பெருகிடவும், தமிழகம் இலங்கையில் முதலீடு செய்யவும் வழிவகை இதன்மூலம் ஏற்படும்” என்று கூறியிருப்பது இங்கு இணைத்துக் காணப்பட வேண்டும்.
தமிழக மக்களில் பெரும்பான்மையினர், இன்று தி.மு.க.வின் மீது நம்பிக்கை இழந்துவிட்டனர். நடந்து முடிந்த நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில், ஈழத்தமிழருக்கு ஆதரவான கட்சிகள் பிரிந்து நின்று போட்டியிட்டபோதும், அவர்கள் பெற்ற வாக்குகள் தி.மு.க.கூட்டணி பெற்ற வாக்குகளை விட மிகுதி. இதற்கு முந்திய தேர்தலில் 40/40 என்று வெற்றி பெற்றிருந்த தி.மு.க.கூட்டணி இத்தேர்தலில் 28/40 இடங்களே பெற்றதை இலேசானதொரு சரிவாகக் கருதமுடியாது. அதிலும் காங்கிரஸ் பெருந்தலைவர்களின் தோல்வியும், சிலரின் வெட்கப்படத்தக்க வெற்றியும், தமிழக மக்களின் எதிர்ப்பின் வெளிப்பாடுதான். இத்ததைய சேதாரங்களிலிருந்து மீட்பதற்கான கட்டுமானப் பணிகள்தாம் உலக.... மாநாடுகள்.
இதற்கு முன்னோட்டமாகத்தான் ஆளுங்கட்சிக் கூட்டணி நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களின் இலங்கைப் பயணம் நடத்தப்பட்டது. அதில் சென்ற காங்கிரஸ் உறுப்பினர் சுதர்சன நாச்சியப்பன் “அனைத்து நாட்டு நியமனங்களுக்கு ஏற்பத்தான் அகதி முகாம்கள் அமைந்துள்ளன. முள்வேலிகள் அந்த மக்களின் பாதுகாப்புக்காகத்தான்” என்று மகிந்த ராஜபக்ஷேவுக்கு ஒரு நற்சான்றிதழ் வழங்கியுள்ளார். இந்து ராம் தந்ததற்கு அடுத்து தரப்பட்ட சான்றிதழ் இது. இது தனிப்பட்ட ஒரு மனிதர் தந்த சான்றிதழ் அன்று. மன்மோகன் சிங்கும், சோனியாவும் மகிந்தாவுக்கு வழங்கிய நற்சான்றிதழ். இதை தி.மு.க. உறுப்பினர்கள் வழிமொழிந்துள்ளனர்.
அந்தக் குழுவில் இடம்பெற்ற விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகளின் பொதுச்செயலாளர் தொல்.திருமாவளவனின் குரல் மாறுபட்டுப் பேசுகிறது
“யாழ் மற்றும் வவுனியா முகாம்களில் அப்பட்டமான மனித உரிமை மீறல்கள் நடந்துள்ளது. அங்குள்ள மக்கள் அடிப்படை வசதிகள் இன்றி அவதிப்படுகின்றனர். முகாம்களில் அடைத்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருப்பவர்களை அவர்களது உறவினர்கள் கூட பார்க்க அனுமதிக்கப்படுவதில்லை. மனிதப் பேரழிவை ஏற்படுத்தி, தமிழ் மக்களை முகாம்களில் தடுத்துவைத்திருக்கும் இலங்கை அரசு மீது பொருளாதாரத் தடைகளை விதிக்க வேண்டும். தமிழ் மக்களை அவரவர் இடத்தில் குடியமர்த்த உலக நாடுகள் முற்பட வேண்டும். இராஜபக்ஷேயைப் போர்க் குற்றவாளியாக அறிவிக்க வேண்டும்”.
விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியின் தலைவரும், நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினருமான திருமாவளவனின் அறிக்கைக்கு காங்கிரசும் தி.மு.க.வும் என்ன பதில் சொல்லப் போகிறார்கள்?
மனித உரிமை ஆர்வலர்களின் அம்பலப்படுத்தல்களாலும், நெருக்குதல்களாலும், ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியம் இலங்கைக்கு வழங்கி வந்த ஜி.எஸ்.பி. என்று சொல்லப்படும் 100 மில்லியன் டாலருக்கான வரிச்சலுகையை நிறுத்த முன்வந்துள்ளதாகத் தெரிகிறது. சிறிலங்கா அரசின் இனஅழிப்புக் கொள்கைகளை கண்டனம் செய்யாமலும், கண்டனங்கள் வந்தாலும் காப்பாக நிற்பதும் ‘சத்யமேவ ஜெயதே’ இந்தியாதான். இலங்கையில் இந்தியா பெறும் சலுகைகள் ஒரு காரணம். இலங்கையைச் சோதனைக் கூடமாகக்கொண்டு நடைபெற்ற இனஅழிப்புப் போர் மூலம், இந்தியாவில் போராடும் தேசிய இனங்களுக்கு இந்தியா மறைமுகமானதோர் எச்சரிக்கையை முன்வைப்பது மற்றொரு காரணம். இந்தச் சாக்கு மூட்டை அவிழ அவிழ இன்னும் பல பூனைக்குட்டிகள் வெளியே வரலாம்.
கலைஞரை முன்னிருத்தி தமிழகத்தில் இனிவரும் சரிவுகளிலிருந்து தன்னைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளலாம் என்று காங்கிரஸ் கருதுகிறது. இதற்கான பல நாடகங்களைக் கலைஞரைக் கொண்டே எழுதவைத்து காங்கிரஸ் அரங்கேற்றுகிறது. ஈழப்போர் உச்ச கட்டத்தில் இருந்தபோது கலைஞர் உண்ணா நோண்பு போன்ற ஒன்றை நடத்த, போர் முடிவுக்கு வந்துவிட்டது என்று ப.சிதம்பரத்தை அறிவிக்க வைத்தது இந்த ஆண்டின் முதலாவது நாடகம் என்றால், ஆளும்கட்சிக் கூட்டணி நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களின் இலங்கைப் பயணம் இரண்டாவது நாடகம். கலைஞர் உண்ணாநோன்பை நிறுத்தியப் பிறகும் முள்ளிவாய்க்காலில் தமிழர் குருதி பேராறாக ஓடியது. முள்ளி வாய்க்கால் பேரழிவுவரை எம.கே.நாராயணனும், சிவசங்கர மேனனும் சிறிலங்கா சென்று காட்சிகள் மாறாமல் பார்த்துக் கொண்டனர். இப்போது தமிழீழ மக்கள் மாற்றம் கொள்ளாமல் பார்த்துக் கொள்வதற்காக தமிழக உறுப்பினர்கள் இந்தியாவால் அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
கலைஞரின் உண்ணா நோண்பால் நிகழ்ந்த ‘அற்புதம்’ இந்த நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களின் பயணத்தால் மறுபடியும் நடக்கத் தொடங்கிவிட்டது. தி.மு.க.வினர் சுவரொட்டி ஒட்டி விளம்பரப்படுத்துகின்றனர். இதுவரை 16000 பேருக்குமேல் தங்கள் சொந்த வசிப்பிடங்களுக்குத் திரும்பிவிட்டதாக கலைஞர் கூறுகிறார். இலங்கை அரசு சொல்வதை இவர் சொல்கிறார். முள்வேலிக்குள் அடைபட்டிருப்போர் 2,80,000 தமிழர்கள். இவர் சொல்வதை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டாலும், இந்தப் பெருந்தொகையிலான தமிழர் அனைவரும் தங்கள் வசிப்பிடம் போய்ச் சேருவது என்று? எந்தவிதமான வாழ்வாதாரத்தோடு? அனைத்துக்கும் மேலாக அவர்களது மனித மாண்பு? எந்த உரிமைக்காக போராடினார்களோ அந்த உரிமைகள்?
திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம், தனது கொள்கைகளை கைகழுவி விட்டதுபோல, முப்பது ஆண்டுகளாகக் குருதி சிந்திப் போராடிய ஈழத்தமிழர்களும் வெறுமையுற்று நிலச்சுமையென வாழ்ந்திடக் கருதுவீர்களா - கலைஞர் அவர்களே!
இன்றைய தமிழ் ஈழத்தின் மரண ஓலமும், தமிழ்நாட்டுத் தமிழரின் பல்வேறு பிரச்சனைகளின் அவலக்குரல்களும், காதில் விழாமலிருக்க, தன் புகழ்பாடும் கவிதைகளை, உரைகளைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கலாமென எண்ணிவிட்டீர்களோ!
முதலாவது உலகத் தமிழ் செம்மொழி மாநாட்டின் ஏற்பாடுகளுக்குப் பின்னால் இன்னும் பல அரசியல் உள்நோக்கங்கள் புதைந்து கிடக்கின்றன. இதற்காக அனைத்துச் சட்டமன்றக் கட்சியினரையும் தமிழக முதல்வர் அழைத்துள்ளார். தமது அழைப்பில் அரசியல் உள்நோக்கமில்லை என்கிறார். வெள்ளையாகத் தோன்றுவது வெள்ளையானதில்லை. இதை இந்தியப் பொதுவுடைமைக் கட்சிகளும் பாட்டாளி மக்கள் கட்சியும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டிருப்பது - வெளிப்படையான சந்தர்ப்பவாதந்தான். இச்செம்மொழி மாநாட்டை முன்வைத்து அரசியல் அணிசேர்க்கை தொடங்கிவிட்டது. இந்த அரசியல் கட்சிகளுக்குத் தமிழர் உரிமை குறித்த அக்கறை இல்லாமல் போகலாம். ஆனால் தமிழர்களுக்கு, தமிழறிஞர்களுக்கு?
எங்கும் தமிழ், எதிலும் தமிழ் என்பது ஆட்சியிலிருப்போரின் அன்றாட முழக்கம். நடைமுறையிலோ, எங்கே தமிழ், எதில் தமிழ் என்று குரலெடுத்து அழ வேண்டிய அவலம். தமிழ் நாட்டில் தமிழே ஆட்சி மொழி என்று 1956-லேயே சட்டப் பேரவையில் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்ட சட்டம் இன்றும் சட்டப்பேரவைக்குள்ளேயே தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.
அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் ஆங்கிலத்துக்கு துணைவரும் பணிப்பெண்ணாக தமிழ் இருக்கிறது. கல்வி நிலையங்களில் தமிழ் பயிற்சி மொழியில்லை. தாய்மொழியில் கல்வியில்லாத சமச்சீர்கல்வியும், சமச்சீர் கல்வியாக இருக்கப் போவதில்லை. தாய்மொழியான தமிழ் மட்டுமே அனைத்துக் கல்வி நிலையங்களிலும், அனைத்து நிலைகளிலும் பயிற்று மொழியாக இருந்தால் மட்டுமே சமச்சீர்க்கல்வி முழுமையடையும் என்பது அதனைப் பரிந்துரைத்த அறிஞர்கள் குழுவின் கருத்து. ஏற்கனவே ஆங்கில வழிக்கல்வியால் உயர்நிலை பெற்று கொழுத்தவர்கள் எவேரா, அவர்களின் வாய்க்காலில் நீரைத் திருப்பிவிடும் நற்காரியத்தை செய்பவராக “தமிழைப் பயிற்று மொழியாக ஆசிரியர்களும் பெற்றோர்களும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்வரை தமிழும் ஆங்கிலமும் பயிற்றுமொழியாக இருக்கும்” என்று ஒதுங்குகிறார் உயர்கல்வி அமைச்சர்.
நீதிமன்றங்களில் இல்லை தமிழ். நெடுஞ்சாண்கிடையாய் விழுந்து வணங்கும் கோயிலில் இல்லை தமிழ். விளம்பரங்களில் இல்லை தமிழ். ஏன் கலைஞரின் தொலைக்காட்சியிலும் ஊடகங்களிலும் இல்லை தமிழ். தமிழும் தமிழர் வாழ்வும் பின்னிப் பிணைந்த ஒன்று என்பதை வேறு எவரினும் மேலாய் உணரும் தமிழறிஞர்கள், இலக்கியவாதிகள் சிந்திக்க வேண்டிய வேளை இது.
தமிழைத் தாய் மொழியாகக் கொண்டிராத ஜப்பானிய அறிஞர் நொபாரு கராஷிமோ - இந்த அரசியல் சதுரங்களுக்கு ஆட்படாது தமது புலமைத் தகுதியை நிறுவியுள்ளார். உணர்வுள்ள தமிழறிஞர்கள் இந்த முன்னுதராணத்தைப் பின்பற்ற வேண்டும்.
‘பழி எனின் உலகுடன் பெறினும் கொள்ளலர்’ - என்ற புறநானூற்று வரிகளை மாணவர்களுக்குப் பயிற்றுவித்த சான்றோர்களிடம் அவ்வரிகளை மெய்ப்பிக்குமாறு இன்றின் வரலாறு கோருகிறது. உலகெங்கிலும் வாழும் தமிழ் மக்கள் இன்று கொண்டாட்ட உணர்வில் இல்லை. முள் வேலியில் முடங்கிய ஈழத்தமிழர்கள் வாய் பேச முடியாத மௌனத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். திசை எட்டும் சிதறிய உறவுகள் வாய் புதைத்து அழுகின்றனர். ‘தமிழினம் இருந்தால்தான் தமிழும் இருக்கும்’ என்ற எளிய உண்மையை உரக்கச் சொல்ல வேண்டிய நேரமன்றோ இது?

History will record the year 2009 and the month of may as the most bloody year and month. 80,000 Eelam Tamils were massacred. Thousands of people were physically maimed and mangled. 30 million people were kept confined within barbed wire fences. They are deprived of their homes and divested their human dignity. They are undergoing terrible tortures inside the “concentration camps”. Their wailings are not yet over. Their wounds have not yet healed.
Here is the statement made by the students of the Jaffna University before the members of the Indian Parliamentary Committee of the D.M.K. and Congress front:
“We cannot reveal you all our feelings at this hour of siege. Please take immediate action to settle the refugees in their native places, improve the lot of their broken country and rebuild their lives. Please take action to give back their lives and rights to these people wandering everywhere as refugees”.
What the Eelam Tamil People want and what the Tamils all over the world expect is rehabilitation of the Tamils and their right to live. The do not want any ostentatious conferences:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanithi was in a hurry to convene a world Tamil conference. In his hurry he set aside all procedures of how to organize a research conference and made his announcement as though a party conference was going to be held.
But the chairman of the world Tamil research Council Mr.Nobaru Karashima has not succumbed to the hastiness of the chief minister and has not given his approval to the chief minister’s proposal thus maintaining the self-reliance of the institute. Being a veteran research scholar Karashima must have kept in mind the time required to organize a research conference of such magnitude while not giving his approval.
When Annadurai was the chief Minister of Tamilnadu the Second World Tamil research conference was held, Professor Na.Vanamamalai issued a statement as to how a research conference of this magnitude should be organized. But it was not taken into consideration by then Tamil Nadu Govt.

No one from the Tamil Nadu govt took into consideration the point he had made in that pamphlet. He had said:
“The conveners of the conference full well knew that it is not a common conference and that standard research papers should be obtained from scholars and only those who presented such papers should be invited as delegates to the conference”.
Prof. Na. Vanamalai did not mean the then members of the Tamil Nadu govt. as conveners. He meant the members of the International Tamil Research Centre which is now known as World Tamil Research Centre.
In 1966, Professor Filiozat was its president, Thomas F.P.J. Cooper, Professor T.P.Meenakshi Sundaram, Professor M. Varadharajan were its vice presidents, Kamil Gzvelebil and Father Xavior Thaninayagam acted as secretaries. All of them were very clear that the conference should be fully research oriented.
However, the second world Tamil Research Conference that took place during Anna’s Chief Ministership, the fifth World Tamil Research Conference held in Madurai in 1981 during the reign of M.G.R. and the 7th world Tamil Research Conference conducted by Jayalalitha in 1995 barring Eelam Tamil scholors who came to take part in the seminars, mere popular and sorry affairs which has nothing to do with research.
Now, Chief Minister Karuanidhi trying to conduct a world Tamil Research Conference and failing in that attempt, has announced that a world conference on classical Tamil will he held in Coimbatore on June 21st, 22nd 2010. It must be pointed out that this announcement does not show the responsibility and thoughtfulness of the leader of a government.
In deciding to conduct the world’s first Classical Tamil Conference when it was not possible to conduct the 9th world Tamil Research Conference, there is no real concern for Tamil Research nor any sincere interest in classical Tamil. It just reflects a love of festivities on a conference level.
There is not much difference between the attitude of a buyer in a Ready Made Garment shop who discards one garment and selects another and the attitude of Mr.Karananithi,
He feels “while Anna, M.G.R. and Jayalalitha had done it, why not I?”
Moreover it is evident that Karunanithi has a political motive in conducting this conference which is to regain his reputation which was lost at world level because of his stand on the Eelam Liberation issue.
Not only that, but there are deeper reasons:
First of all, it must be underlined that in addition to being a writer, an orator, a poet, an artiste and a politician, Karunanithi has now became one of the biggest capitalists of India.
The credit goes to Karananidhi for transforming the once idealist D.M.K. into a organization of brokerage that sold that all its noble ideals and became a faithful servant and slave of the Indian Central Govt. with its ambitions of hegemony.
In the cruel war that sought to destroy the Eelam Tamil race, one cannot simply say that like China and Pakistan, India also supported Sri Lanka. It is a proven fact that India not only supported Sri Lanka, but bore the front of the war.
It did that for its own self-interest. India may say that it supported Sri Lanka in the interest of the country’s safety which it is not true.
The Sri Lanka Govt. opened all its resources to the big Indian industrialists and through them it brought pressure to bear on the Indian govt and the Tamil Nadu govt.
Eelam political observers point out that as a reward to India for having destroyed the freedom struggle of the Tamil people the underground oil resources of Tirunkonamalee, contract for a Thermal Plant in sambur, The port of Kangesanthurai and the Mannar Sea etc were given to her. In their nefarious and shady dealings, nothing could be said about the involment of Karunanithi.
“However, it is certain that he is getting his share of the plaudits of the war from the Indian govt. and distributing them among his family and friends.”

Here we must connect this with what T.R.Balu who headed the parliament committee that went to Sri Lanka has said on his return from Srilanka. He has said that Through this it is possible that trade and Industries between Srilanka and Tamil Nadu will increase and Tamil Nadu will invest in Sri Lanka.
Tamil people have lost their confidence in D.M.K. Even though in the recently held parliament election, the parties supporting Eelam Tamils were divided against one another, the vote they had were much larger than what the D.M.K. obtained.
The D.M.K. which had got a 40/40 victory in the previous Parliament election, has now only a 20/40 victory. It is not an easy thing to be brushed aside.
Further, the defeat of many big congress leaders and a few shameful border line victories in Tamil Nadu are certainly the result of the Tamil people’s anger against the DMK.
And the world Tamil Conference is certainly an attempt to rebuild its lost reputations.
The journey of the parliament committee of the D.M.K and Congress front to Sri Lanka is an initial step.
The congress member of that committee Mr.Sudarsan Nachiappan has said,
“The refugee camps satisfy the world standards. The wire fences are only for the purpose of safety.”
This is a very good testimonial to Mahinda Rajabakshe, next only to the testimonial given by Ram the Editor of the Hindu.
But this is not the Testimonial of a single individual. It is actually a certificate of merit given to Mahinta Rajabakshe by Manmohan Singh and Sonia. The D.M.K. has only seconded it.
But the voice of Thirumavalavan, a member of the committee sounds differently:
“A very blatant violation of human rights has taken place in Jaffna and Vavunia Camps. People have no basic amemities. Visitors are not allowed to see the prisoners.
Economic sanction should be made against the Sri Lankan govt. for causing terrible human destruction and confining Tamils within the cruel camps. The world countries should take firm steps to settle the Tamil people in their native places. Rajabakshe should be declared as a war criminal.”
What is the answer of the congress & D.M.K. to the statement of Tirumavalavan who is the leader of the Viduthalai Siruthaikal and member of parliament committee.
We hear that pouring to the revelations made by the human rights activists and the pressures made by them, the European union has come forward to stop the 100 million dollar tax reduction called G.S.P. to Srilanka.
Only our holy Indian government whose motto is “Truth will win” has no consciousness. She not only does not condemn the Sri Lankan govt, but raises her voice in defence of Sri Lanka.
One reason is the trade concessions India receives from Srilanka. Another is that, suppressing the freedom struggle of the Eelam Tamils, India warns her own linguistic states that fight for more freedom that they would also meet the same fate if they opposed India.
Thanks to the congress party standing behind Karananidhi, it may safeguard it from future debacles in Tamil Nadu. For this the congress party is staging a number of dramas having first made the D.M.K. to write their first drama of the year was Karunanithi’s farce fasting when the Eelam war was at its fiercest and the announcement by P.Chidhambaram that the war was over.
Even after his farce fasting to an end there was terrible bloodshed had in Mullivaikal but M.K. Narayanan and Siva Sankara Menan went to Sri Lanka and saw that the stoppage of war did not change. Now the Tamil members of parliament was sent by Karunanithi to hoodwink the Tamil people. The visit of Parliament committee acted this second Drama.
The miracle that took place because of Karunanithi’s fasting has continued to happen again owing to the parliament committee’s visit. Wall posters were displayed by the DKM to that effect. Karunanithi says that 16000 people have been sent to their native places from the camps. What Sri Lanka says is seconded by Karunanithi. However 2,80,000 Tamils are still in the camps.
We will ask one question to Karunanithi
“Do you wish to hear the singing of your praise and the eulogus of your glories, so that the death cry of the Eelam Tamils, and the distress calls of the Tamil people have should not enter your ears?”
There are many more political reasons behind the proposal to hold the first world classical Tamil meet, even though Karnanithi says there is no motive behind the conference, but all that looks white is not white.
Communist party of India, Tamil Nadu Branch and the P.M.K. have agreed with Karunanithi for the conduct of conference is in and out opportunism.
The seeking of political alliance centering on this conference has started. These political parties may not have any concern for the rights of the Tamil people, but what about the Tamil people and the Tamil Scholars?
The D.M.K. rulers are shouting slogans like “Tamil is everywhere, and Tamil is in everything” but in actual practice, it is a tragedy that Tamil neither rules nor is respected. 1956 year legislation that Tamil is the official language of Tamil Nadu is still sleeping within the four walls of the legislative assembly. In the govt offices, Tamil is serving as the hand maid of English.
Tamil in not the medium of instruction in schools. And the uniform Education is not going to uniform without the mother tongue as the medium.
The experts who have recommended full fledged uniform education are very clear that full-fledged uniform education is not possible without mother tongue as becoming the medium of instruction. However, the minister for higher-education evades the question by saying that so far as teachers and parents accept Tamil as a medium of instruction, both Tamil and English will be the medium of instruction. Course he is taking sides with vested interests who have climbed up to higher position through English medium Education. But, where is Tamil? Is it in our courts of justice? Is it in Temple where people prostrated themselves for worships? Is it in advertisement? Is it in Kalaignar T.V and other media? No. Tamil ha no place at all.
Tamil scholars and authors know better than anyone else that Tamil is very, deeply and closely connected with life of the Tamil People. It is hightime they should give deep thought to the problem.
The Japanese scholar Nobaru Karashima whose mother tongue is not Tamil, has proved his scholarship without falling upto the political machinations. Tamil scholars who love their Tamil should follow his example.

History of today demands from the great teachers who have taught students the above said lines from Purananooru a classic of Sangam age to prove the words true. Tamil people who live all over the world today are not in a mood to celebrate festivals. The Eelam Tamils kept confined within barbed wire fences are forced to keep their mouths shut. Their kith and kin scattered in all over world are shedding silent tears.
Is this not the hour to raise high our voice to tell the simple truth that Tamil language will live if only the Tamil race lives…?
